The purpose of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association(NAVHDA) is to:
foster, promote, and improve the versatile hunting dog breeds in North America;
to conserve game by using well trained reliable hunting dogs before and after the shot; and
to aid in the prevention of cruelty to animals by discouraging non selective and uncontrolled breeding, which produces unwanted and uncared for dogs.
Ontario Grand River (OGR) is asanctioned, non-profit chapter serving Southwestern Ontario;
from Lake Huron to Lake Ontario, from Georgian Bay to Lake Erie.
2017 Training Dates

The 2017 OGR training dates are posted under Training and Testing. These include three weekends in May and three weekends in August at Luther Marsh. The weekend of May 27-28, one day of training will occur at Ruffwood game farm and preference will be given to young dogs testing in the spring NA test.
Training days are for OGR members and there is a fee of $10 per handler per day to subsidize grounds maintenance.
To confirm your attendance, please contact Jim Baker, by the Wednesday prior to training. Please include the age of the dog(s) and/or level (Natural Ability/Utility) you are training for to help in the planning for the day.
