Ontario Grand River Chapter
The purpose of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) is to:
-
foster, promote, and improve the versatile hunting dog breeds in North America;
-
to conserve game by using well trained reliable hunting dogs before and after the shot; and
-
to aid in the prevention of cruelty to animals by discouraging non selective and uncontrolled breeding, which produces unwanted and uncared for dogs.

Ontario Grand River (OGR) is a sanctioned, non-profit chapter serving Southwestern Ontario;
from Lake Huron to Lake Ontario, from Georgian Bay to Lake Erie.
Benefits for Chapter members are:
-
reduced rates for tests and clinics,
-
member training days,
-
seasoned Training Mentors, and
-
social events
Regardless of your experience, our members are happy to assist you.
The Chapter organizes training opportunities and social events for Chapter members throughout the year.
The Chapter holds a spring Natural Ability test in May/June and fall Natural Ability and Utility test in September.

We encourage members train with others. For new members, just getting started within NAVHDA or with a new versatile puppy, we encourage you to contact one of our experienced members designated as Training Mentors in the area nearest to you to assist you with questions and training.
